We walked back to place our order and the farmers breakfast was calling my name. The biscuits and gravy were excellent and I am really glad I stopped. “ There are not enough words or emojis to accurately describe our amazing experience at The Farm Kitchen. We weren’t sure what to expect when we arrived to a packed out parking lot but relied heavily upon the reviews we had read prior to arrival. Ordering our food was a breeze. We ordered the made-from-scratch biscuits and gravy as well as one of the cinnamon rolls, and a biscuit with sausage and an egg. Wow. Wow. Wow. We have never, EVER have had a cinnamon roll like that! Ever. It just melted in your mouth! And the biscuits were outstanding as well! The other thing we loved was it clearly is a family business. The children all serve in some capacity. Whether it be taking orders, serving the food, washing tables or checking out. From biggest to littlest they all clearly seemed to have a job and they did it with a smile. Kudos to mama, who we saw beautifully directing her little flock around while maintaining the orchestration of all the things that pulled her in every direction that morning! We called her the Farm Kitchen Barbie because it was incredible the grace and beauty she exemplified on such a BUSY morning! If you’re in Shelbyville for breakfast, you’ll be sorry to have missed this sweet, little gem. What a wonderful experience you gave all of us. Thank you! ”

“ Absolutely loved The Farm Kitchen! I had the pork tenderloin with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes—everything was homemade and full of flavor. My wife had the biscuits and gravy and said they were some of the best she’s ever had. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. They also had local honey and a great selection of flowers and tomato plants for sale. You can really tell it’s a family-run place with heart. Can’t wait to come back! ”
